    I got a few quotes using Washington Checkbook. Chelsea's Chimney wasn't the cheapest, but they worked with me on the price and I went with them because everyone was very friendly, responsive, and amenable. I had a lot of questions about our options (we moved into a home with a traditional fireplace, and I wanted a more energy-efficient option). Ultimately, they had to do exterior work (rebuild the chimney to the roofline, crown replacement) and install the new hybrid catalytic wood insert. Our main point of contact was Lindsey who was GREAT to work with and even came over to guide us through our first fire with the insert once the work was all done. In short, I am happy to recommend the company as a whole and all the employees, all of whom are very professional, regardless of what part of the job they were responsible for. Looking forward to a lasting relationship (and we are enjoying our new fireplace immensely!)
    *Updated 11/26*I had originally booked an appointment through the company a month in advance, scheduled for 14 Nov. After a no call/no show, followed by another on 23 Nov, I posted a review relaying my experience - in contradiction to most. Heather swiftly reached out and eagerly worked to make amends. I was schedule for service and she personally ensured the technician, Charles, came when I was available to address the unit in my new home. We are now very pleased and excited to be able to share some core memories around this mantle as we lean into the holidays and get to hang our stockings in our first home.
